The Philips SmartSleep Wake-up Light HF3532/01 is a white bedside light alarm clock. It is neither a Philips Hue lamp nor a connected Somneo model. The manufacturer does not provide app control for the HF3532/01.
The wake-up sequence gradually increases brightness and changes colour from red through orange to yellow. The retailer and manufacturer list 20 brightness settings up to 300 lux and seven natural alarm sounds. The Philips leaflet lists two alarm times and a nine-minute tap-to-snooze interval. Dimming light supports a bedtime routine, while a dim orange midnight light provides low-level illumination. Display brightness adjusts automatically to ambient light.
Sunrise duration differs across sources: Amazon states 5–60 minutes, while the Philips leaflet lists 20–40 minutes and describes a 30-minute sequence elsewhere. Dimensions and weight also differ; we have not measured them. Check the supplied unit's labelling and instructions for the actual revision.
The device requires mains power. Its USB port charges a smartphone according to the retailer, not proof of battery operation or music playback. The leaflet describes clock-time backup, not a complete alarm function without mains power. Adjust brightness, volume and alarm time to your routine, and check reliable operation before important appointments. We have not tested sleep improvement or medical benefits.
