Description
The Bosch Radiator Thermostat II [+M] replaces the head on a compatible radiator and controls its valve. This entry describes the single Anthracite device, article 8750002982, not a starter kit, three-pack or older version without [+M]. A rotary push-button adjusts the target temperature in 0.5-degree increments. An illuminated, adjustable display and multicoloured LED ring show settings and status.
According to the manual, Bosch mode requires a configured Bosch Smart Home Controller I or II and the Bosch app. Alternatively, the thermostat can connect directly as a Matter device over Thread, requiring a compatible Matter controller and a Thread Border Router, integrated or separate. It is not a direct Wi-Fi thermostat. Bosch and Matter modes are alternatives; changing systems requires a reset following the instructions. Schedules, automations, voice control and remote access depend on the platform. Bosch-specific services are not automatically available in direct Matter mode. EasyControl is incompatible.
The valve connection is M30 × 1.5 mm. The manufacturer includes Danfoss RA and RAVL adapters and two AA batteries; other valves may require additional adapters. Follow the mounting instructions; draining heating water is unnecessary, but defective valves require professional attention. IP20 means dry indoor use, not waterproofing. Scheduling can support demand-based heating but does not guarantee specific savings. The gallery contains manufacturer and retailer images, not a hands-on test.
Use cases
- Controlling an individual compatible radiator in the Bosch Smart Home system
- Adding it to an existing Matter-over-Thread system with a suitable hub
- Manual temperature adjustment and, depending on the system, scheduled heating
